Frank Iero Responds To Fan Asking About New My Chemical Romance Music

blink-182 & My Chemical Romance: The 2011 Honda Civic Tour Announcement Event

My Chemical Romance fans will have to wait another year to see them live for their highly anticipated reunion tour, so naturally the next question is: are they making new music?

One fan asked Frank Iero about it on Twitter, and the guitarist gave a typically sly response.

"We still waiting new music with the band, just saying" the follower wrote in response to another fan asking the MCR guys to name their new puppy.

"you’re definitely gonna have to narrow down 'the band' for me" Iero replied, which is a fair reaction considering he's played with a handful of bands other than My Chem; however, we all know what "band" is being questioned, given the context. See the interaction below.

Last week, Iero recalled how he felt when the band broke up in 2013.

“When My Chem ended, it was a feeling a closure on that but also, at the same time, this panic sets in because you have done something for so long and it almost defined you,” he admitted to Ernie Ball. “There’s comfort in that, but there’s also this feeling of, ‘Oh my god, well now what do you do? Who are you?’ If that didn’t actually define you, what do you do now? It’s a scary, scary time.”

My Chemical Romance rescheduled their North American tour to summer 2021. See a full list of dates here.
